Description
The Ball Wall Sconce is designed with a swivel hinge and an adjustable plug-in cord, allowing easy movement of the lampshade without readjusting it on the wall. In 1952, a set of Swedish hanging lamps were introduced into the American market, and George Nelson was impressed enough to want one for his office. Their expensive price prevented him from buying one, but also inspired him to design his own. The result was a series of lamps with elemental, spherical shapes like a rounded apple, an elongated cigar, and a shapely pear, among others.
Note: Due to the narrow width of this wall lamp, it is not compatible with the standard American JBOX junction box. This lamp requires a specially sized junction box to ensure a proper fit; otherwise, gaps may occur on both sides.

I did so much research comparing this to the original design which cost more than twice the price of the lamp sold on this site. Not only is this price amazing, but also the design is identical in terms of the materials and dimensions. This lamp is gorgeous. Even knowing its size, I was awed by how substantial it is in person.
